Mr. Geo. H. Jones
Dear Sir
Your postal C/ received
There are two ways, the first most common way
is to deposit with the Treas.^r^ a fixed sum named
by the Trustees after examination of the lot; in this case
the sum would probably be not more than $500.
This sum presupposes the lot placed in best order at an
additional expense of whatever may be necessary in the way of sod-
ding &c. The Corporation give a guaranty contract to forever
keep the lot in like good order as when taken -- or
You can pay into the hands of the Treasurer
any sum over $100. which the Corp^n^ will invest &
spend the interest yearly in keeping the lot in good order
This is however not so satisfactory a way as
the other to the Proprietor. If you wish & think well
of the price named I can have the lot examined in
the spring & have you notified of the sum fixed
Very Respectfully
