Dear Sir

The cost of finishing
the Indian Ridge bank, with a full &
regular slope according to the plan
adopted for what has already been done
will be $2100, of which amount $500
worth of work can be done during the winter
months without [increasing?] the usual [force?].

The bank can be finished according
to the enclosed plan, which contemplates
[covering?] the stone walls and leaving the
bank, all in good order, conforming more
to the natural grade of the ground, for
$1200, of which amount $300 worth
of work can be done during the winter
without [increasing?] the usual force
