John S. Trowbridge Esq

Dear Sir

In reference to the charge
for myrtle on the enlosed bill, I have talked with
the gardener who states that he did not get myrtle
enough to do both graves from the one which was
there already. He says that the labor & material
furnished was as much as for a grave where
all the myrtle is supplied, so that I do not
see but what the charge is a fair one. If you
do not feel satisfied about it, the Treasurer
will make you such a discount on payment
of the bill as will be satisfactory, as I prefer to
make a loss on the work, & have the bill satisfactory.

Yrs very truly
J.W. Lovering
