Chas. S. S. Lennox Esq
Dear Sir
I am in receipt of your favor of yesterday in relation to the guide books sold here, and would say that the Corporation have nothing to do with the publication of the guide. The sale has been permitted because it was the best one published, but even when new the sales were quite small, there not being sufficient demand to warrant any additional expenditure to make it more complete.
Of course with the annual changes

made in the ground, unless a new edition was published annually, it would soon be found wanting if it [perspective?] to contain that which may be found in the Cemetery [But?] it answers the wants of visitors who want information of a genereal character and in regard to the burial spot of persons of note.
I send you a small book of [?] of the cemetery which was published here by the Corporation a few years ago.
Yrs truly J. W. Lovering Supt.
