#1683-S

Mrs. A. H. Rice,
Boston.

Dear Madam: -

The Gardener reports that one of your roses has decayed
and broken off where it was budded on to the stock, and that the
other is so old that it should be replaced with a younger plant
next Spring. In viw of that do you think it well to go to the
expense of having the stored this Winter.

Respectfully yours,

Supt.

M. A. Brewer, Esq.,
Dorchester.

Dear Sir: -

Your order is received, and appears to be all clear.

I find that there is a bill due on the lot ($2.00) for
care of the lot in 1884, and as the Trustees do not permit me to do
work on lots where there are back bills, will you please arrange
the matter with our Treasurer (#5 Pemberton Sq., Boston) so that
the work can go on.

Respectfully yours

Supt.
