Subject: Funds not sufficient- Donation

Lot No. 1

Grantville May 16^th 1879

Mt. Auburn Cemetry,

Dear Sir, Yr's of 5^th inst was
rec^d. in which you say the funds left for
the Care of Lot N^o. 1 have not proved Sufficient
to Keep the lot in good order. In this I
feel that you are mistaken as ^$200 was
left about 1850, the interest to be expended for
this purpose - say ^$12 a year for 29 years
or ^$348. Out of this nothing has ever
been spent except for cutting the grass,
as I have always paid for the flowers on my
wife's grave.

It would not do to remove the fence to
Lot no. 1 unless it were also removed from
the adjoining lot of Abraham Fuller, and
it will be necessary for me to communicate
with the heirs of that lot ^ after ^^which I will en-
