Dear Sir

At the last meeting of the
B^dof Trustees they passed the following vote. five>
Voted: That a committee of three be appointed to examine and
report to the B^d wheher there have been any infringement, by any officer
of the Corporation, of the By-Law which forbids "the Superintendent, GateKeeper,
or other paid Servant of the Corporation, to have any interest whatever
in any work, or materials, furnished for the cemetery" Mr Norcross,
Mr Austin & Mr Cheever were appointed as the Committee -
The Committee have made a partial investigation of the matter
referred to them, and before proceeding further with their inquiries, so far
as they related to the Superintendent, have sdecided to communicate to you
the result of their investigation, and request you to inform them if the
Statements^{as herewith recited}are true, and if so, The Committee will be pleased to
have your view of the correctness of such transactions, Not
