Washington Tower

Also known as the Observatory. Washington Tower was originally designed by [[Bigelow, Jacob|Jacob Bigelow]] with the construction plans drawn by [[Bryant, Gridley J. F.|Gridley J. F. Bryant]]. The idea for the tower was originally proposed in 1831 and was considered again in 1843 before finally being constructed in 1852
