This group of 1955 Marriage Licenses - Certificate number had a series of "16000" numbers and a series of "17000" numbers. Part way thru the 1955 Marriage Licenses the "1600" numbers stopped and the "17000" continued. I contacted the Maryland State Archives and the Archivist Morgan Miller stated the "17000" should be used. This is the reason for the correction.
