The license was not returned to the court after the ceremony, as noted on the card, and the clerk was therefore unable to include the ceremony date. Most commonly, the two dates are the same or separated by only a few days, although there are exceptions.

Sadly, Helen A (Cooney) Storch passed three years after the mysterious marriage on November 10, 1918. WWI draft record says Edward has a wife and child. Edward is widowed with a daughter in the 1920 census. Mo record shows specifics on a marriage.
