My dear Mrs. Rölvaag, --

I admit that you have
reason to be disappointed
because I have been tardy
in making payments. It
is not my nature to be
negligent in my financial
obligations. I lost almost
all we had, -- several thousands
of dollars, a few years ago as
a result of buying some
land. And then came the
fearful cuts in salary.

I think, however, that the
future looks a little more
hopeful than the last two years.
And when I get my October check
on November 2, I will for sure
send the interest and compound
interest on the loan. (Over)
