Brother John and Helen left for Iowa City on Tuesday
planning to drive to Gowrie that day and then on to Iowa
City on the 6th. to be there for the presentation of Arthur's
oratorio, - the one on which he received his doctor's degree.
Arthur and Micky were to be there also. We have wondered if
the storm may have made it difficult for them to get through.
Arthur planned to come with John and Helen to be here over
Sunday and then join Micky at Sioux City on Monday for the
return to Fresno. The storm may have disrupted their plans.

Yesterday was Aunt Anna's birthday. Most of our folks
spent the afternoon and evening with her. Ann and I went
over for supper, and quite a few of the neighbors dropped
in so that it developed into much more of a day than she had
expected. Aunt Anna is quite well, and getting along as well
as can be expected. I think I heard something said about
Helen having to have an operation for a tumor in her breast.
That should not be very serious, but being an invalid anyway
will not help matters.

The rest of the folks are all well, as far as I know.
