cashed Dec. 23.

1537 East 32 Street,
Minneapolis, Minnesota,
December 3, 1939.

Dear Mrs. Rölvaag, --

I am sorry that I had paid interest only
until May 1936 before I sent a year's interest last
spring. That brought it up till May 1937. I get
a little money from School Board on December 22.
I send check for $14.00 dated December 23 - and which
you may deposit on that day. That will pay till
May 1938. Our salary for the last two weeks
before Christmas we do not get before January 2, 1940.
At that time I will mail another check for $14.00
to bring interest up to May 1939. The interest is
really $13.00 a year, but you have waited so
long that I add the dollar.

I trust that the future will be brighter than
the past. I am ashamed of the way I have
neglected, being forced to do so, your loan. You
may rest assured that I will do my best to reduce
principal of loan as soon as I can.

With kindest greetings, I am,

Yours sincerely,

Absalom C. Erdahl

Mrs. O. E. Rölvaag
