Box 65, Frost, Minnesota, July 1, 1935.

Dear Mrs. Rölvaag, --

I know that I should have sent the interest now due. We had doctor and hospital bills amounting to so much the last year. That, in addition to large cuts in salary, made the situation quite trying I will simply have to ask you to wait till I get my first check in the fall, and then I will add $2.00 as compound interest and send $15.00 instead of $13.00. Just as soon as I possibly can I will pay off on principal.

My wife, daughter, and I are now staying on the farm with Mother. Mother has lived on the same homestead for sixty-seven years.

Kindest greetinigs to you all!

My dear Mrs. Rölvaag, --

I had so much to attend to financially after the summer vacation that I have not been able to send the $15.00. I assure you that I will do so in the very near future.

Best regards from

Dear Mrs. Rolvaag, --

It is a shame that I have not sent money bfore, -- I have simply been hard up. I would like to come down to Northfield to see you about loan in the near future.

I will have a little money on February 7, and I will then without fail send the interest.

Kindest greetings

Dear Mrs Rolvaag, --

I expected money enough so that I could have sent it yesterday, but fell short of my hope. We do, however, get our regular checks on Friday, February 21, and I will at that time absolutely without fail send $16.00 to cover interest, compound interest, and trouble you have had in writing. I also plan to come down to Northfield this winter.

Yours sincerely,

A. C. Erdahl

Dear Mrs. Rolvaag, --

I enclose express order for $16.00 to pay interest on my loan till in May 1935. The interest, I think, should be $13.00 for one year on $189.00. I am, however, sending some extra as compound interest and for trouble.

Kindest greetings
