Soldier 26 name ambiguity- Bryars or Briers? The Soldier is listed as "Bryars" Bullen at first but for his signature two columns later he is listed as "Briers" Bullen in a different hand (Bullen himself signed with an 'X'). On Bullen's discharge certificate dated 1824 his name is spelled 'Bryars' - again he signed with a mark 'X' himself- and his occupation on discharge is listed as Labourer. In 1833 a Labourer named 'Briers' Bullen gave a witness statement in an Old Bailey case, which may be the same man. I found the discharge certificate on findmypast, Old Bailey link is https://www.oldbaileyonline.org/images.jsp?doc=183309050097 .
