Transcription Conventions

• Numbers: Enter the number without , or . such as 12345.
• Spelling: Use original spelling if possible. Include corrected entries in [ ], such as Hithe [Hythe].
• Capitalization: Lower case with initial capital ie Smith not SMITH.
• Dates: Enter the date in full, such as 1 January 1800, unless instructed on specific project
