Row 10, I think the location is Rosslare. I know that is in Ireland but was originally party of Fishguard & Rosslare Railways & Docks company
Row 4 Cause - Palm of left hand cut with grass cutting machine
Row 5 length of service is indeed 51 years, so he started at 13. Possible. My Dad started an apprenticeship at 13 in 1920s. Although official age to leave school 14, could start earlier if acquired a labour certificate, apparently. My dad had got a year ahead in school, so nothing for him to do there by the time he was 13, but no money for secondary school.
Row 1 & 2, length of service 2.9, 1.6, enter as 2 years 9 months, 1 year 6 months. (I’ve had a steep learning curve here too. Lots of convention details not covered in guideline notes. Understandable that much more experienced folk sometimes get frustrated with our blunders.)
Thanks Geraldine. Will you continue to keep an eye on this one? I'm trying to help with both TNA projects
Thanks. BTW on other TNA projects we could evolve conventions and leave moe accessible notes via the forum, but it seems to be disabled in this case
That's a shame. Never mind, most of us catch on eventually! You must get tired of repeating the same reminders over and over - sometimes to the same person. Thanks for your guidance. You have the patience of Job.
