Line 10 - Sutton Heath or Sutton North? its either an H or the crossbar of the t is partially dissecring the N. Thoughts?
I have that link open on a separate tab, Gramps. It's impossible to navigate on a tablet tho - I'll have a proper investigate. Can we do my bit of hte country please?
What am I doing wrong with the SRS thingie? I try and navigate by County but these cover the whole country. There's no search; GWR just brings up enormous lists of incomprehensibles - I've even got a tab of everywhere in Britain to try and find the oddities. Either I am navigating wrong or need laptop, and am already using three different devices and an iphone...
I use a tablet. Just "find in page" from three dotes menu. Part word works fine. Which bit of the country is that? Sorry nothing north of Watford Gap considered
I don't have a three-dot-menu. Not on either tablet or iphone. I know my chain harrows from my couplings to my signal levers - I've even had a tram company thrown in for good measure (yes know Crich and Bluebell and Beamish) and done old money right but i CAN'T FIND THE DOTS! And feel incredibly stupid, tho i was here at 4.30am so at least I'm keen.
I'll try GWR again - sorry, I am trying my best. And have raging neuralgia so on;ly one eye is working. you still flat, you poor thing? Must be driving you mental
Ofergawd'ssake...i must be looking in the wrong place. lmk next time you're on and aren't hiding from me and I'll give you my email addy, then delete when you've seen it. then you can send a screenshot to the daft chav bint with some quaint Olde English Cornish expressions meaning " daft chav bint."
No don't do that. Send an email to remotetranscriptions@nationalarchives.gov.uk and ask them to pass on your email address to me.
Just sent it to a friend of mine who works in tech. He can't find the three dots either. We are the wrong side of the \Trainspotting Divide! (Can anyone else find the three dots or is it hidden from us ghastly estuary types?
You should get this at the top of the page I sent you

Signal Fact 13
Cooke and Wheatstone successfully demonstrated their telegraph system to the London & Birmingham Railway in June 1837.
The London & Birmingham decided not to use it but it was put into use by the Great Western Railway.

Ta. Tho I just got Ilminster in the WORST hand possible so feel somewhat mollified.
Alas, we are all too young n sprightly for the three dots. That's the problem. And too much Trainspotting.
