Some help please. Suggestions for employee names on lines 3 and 5
Also suggestions on location names lines 9 and 14
If anyone is interested the accident cause on line 9 'spragging' is when you try to stop a wagon by means of a randon piece of wood under the wheels of a wagon. Mightly dangerous, so I'm not surprised he hurt himself!
Names look like Lintern and Lainchbury to me. Dot of letter 'I' so often placed well astray of its stem! Both these are existing family names, Google tells me. The first from Middle English for a door or window lintel, the second a Warwickshire name.
Thanks everyone have gone for Lintern and Lainchbury.
Feel free to make any corrections if you think I've missed something.
Dudders is quite right. If you see anything that needs changing on any page go ahead and do it. Sorry I am not doing that myself but am a bit constricted at the moment
Wary of doing that unless the original person working on a page seems to have moved on to another.
Sorry you're laid up, Geoff - or down...
I think there's a subtle difference between spotting a clear error and where there is a question of doubt. With the former I don't think anyone would mind helping out (so long as they're not actually working on that page; at least you get a warning) rather than jumping in and making changes with which the page 'owner' might feel agrived.
