past the Majestic and the gypsy [gypsey] a whaling at 4 PM
saw a cow and calf a whaleing [sic] lowered but now sucksess
at 7 PM a boat came from the gypsey she had nothing
this season left the Artic the 11 of june the Latter
part thick fogg at noon it light up saw one whale

Wednesday August 29
Commences with cam weather the boats down after a
whale at 3 PM it came on thick fogg took up the
boats saw the Majestic the Latter part thick fogg
wind WNW

Thursday August 30
Commences with Light ares from the NW and a thick
fogg at 6 PM it light up saw the Land Aloyed Island
bearing SE B S Dist 10 miles saw all the [Lang?] saw
5 or 6 whales pursued them with now sucksess the
Latter part thick and rainy and strong winds spoke the
Roman Dehant 100 barls this season 600 bls all told
saw 2 other sails So Ends

Friday August 31
Commences with strong wind and thick fogg in company
with the Roman the middle part foggy Latter part
Light winds from the NW saw 3 sails So Ends
