April 1st 1936
My Darling Charlotte
I received this
letter telling me that you have
a sweet little [girl] daughter
now. and little Brock was
disapointed as he wanted
a Brother to play with.
I was glad that it was a girl
it will be a companion for you
later on.

I have been miserable with
Rheumatism this last week it was
on my arm & shoulders and
my right arm & my neck
too. So I could not write as it
is in my right arm. And
pains all thro my head & ear.
Anyway I am better today.
I hope you are getting along well
now. Take care of your dear self.

I wish I can get down
there when the weather gets warm.
