The centers also operated in order to reassign military personnel just returning to the United States to new service locations and/or units. The booklet includes maps of Asheville, with sites of local interest, important buildings, and locations of the Redistribution Center's facilities in the city. The booklet also gave soldiers participating in the program instructions on how to behave and care for their room while in Asheville.
