Where you eat depends on where you are assigned. Guests of the Battery Park eat there; guests of the Grove Park Inn eat there; and Vanderbilt and Biltmore guests eat at the Vanderbilt. Show your identification card when you enter your dining room. It is the intention of this station to serve you the best meals possible. The Mess Sergeants and cooks have completed a special course before coming to their assignments here. The time of meals is posted on your bulletin board. If your wife is with you, she will pay for each meal when she eats it. Three meals will cost her approximately $1.00. The total fixed expense for your wife will be about $25.00 if you remain ten days.
When your orders come through assignign you to your new station, you will take your clearance card properly filled out to your rail transportation officer in the lower level of the Auditorium. He will give you your transportation request and your reservation. Your bags will be taken to the station for you and checked to your destingation. The transportation officer will assist you to get reservations for your wife.
