are a disgrace to themselves and to the Army. Keep well-dressed and salute when you should. Keep your brass shined and your ties tied. Take care of the furniture and fixtures in your room while you are here. They are in good condition and we want to keep them that way for the next returnee. You have everything to gain and nothing to lose by observing these things which are the marks of good soldiers. The future operation of this station depends on you. If you behave like gentlemen, the men who are to follow you here will benefit. If you do not, they will suffer.

LOCATION OF FACILITIES Headquarters of the Redistribution Station is located on the Mezzanine floor of the Battery Park Hotel. The Chaplain's office on the ground floor of the Vanderbilt Hotel is always open for consultation. There are three Chaplains here--Protestant, Catholic, and Jewish. There are PX and long distance telephone facilities in each hotel.
The enlisted men's club is on the roof of the Batter Park; dancing, soft drinks, beer, and other refreshments are available there. The club has a sun deck with a fine fiew of the city. It is a pleasant place to entertain your wife or girl friends. A Personal Affairs Officer is available to advise you on any personal matters, such as bonds, allotments, or domestic problems. While there is no curfew, you will occupy the room you are assigned so that your casual company officers can find you if necessary. Do not leave the city without your CO's permissinon. He will give you week-end passes to visit nearby poitns of interest if you so desire. You will be issued the clothing and equipment allowed under existing regulations. It is expected that three-day service can be given on laundry.

Where you eat depends on where you are assigned. Guests of the Battery Park eat there; guests of the Grove Park Inn eat there; and Vanderbilt and Biltmore guests eat at the Vanderbilt. Show your identification card when you enter your dining room. It is the intention of this station to serve you the best meals possible. The Mess Sergeants and cooks have completed a special course before coming to their assignments here. The time of meals is posted on your bulletin board. If your wife is with you, she will pay for each meal when she eats it. Three meals will cost her approximately $1.00. The total fixed expense for your wife will be about $25.00 if you remain ten days. When your orders come through assignign you to your new station, you will take your clearance card properly filled out to your rail transportation officer in the lower level of the Auditorium. He will give you your transportation request and your reservation. Your bags will be taken to the station for you and checked to your destingation. The transportation officer will assist you to get reservations for your wife.
