From: Coast Guard Liaison Officer, Naval Section Base, Ocracoke, N. C. To: CLARK, Wilson A. (507-733) Cox. (R)

Subject: Orders; transfer; travel.

Reference: (a) Verbal Orders; District Coast Guard Officer, 26 April, 1943

1. In accordance with reference (a) you will proceed to Norfolk, Virginia and upon your arrival at that place you will report to the District Coast Guard Officer, Fifth Naval District, for further transfer to the United States Coast Guard Academy.

2. The travel necessary for the execution of this order may be performed by privately owned conveyance, if so desired.

3. The travel necessary to the execution of this order is required by the public interests. Allowances for subsistance and quarters as prescribed by Article 248, Pay and Supply Instructions, are applicable in this case.

4. Departed at 0700 this date.

Subject: Orders; transfer; travel.

Reference: (a) Verbal orders, DCGO,5ND., 4 May, 1943.

1. In compliance with reference (a), you are directed to proceed to Norfolk, Virginia, and upon your arrival at that place, report to the District Coast Guard Officer, Fifth Naval District, for further assignment to duty.

2. The travel necessary to the execution of this order may be performed by privately owned conveyance, if so desired.

Subject: Orders; temporary duty; travel.

1. Proceed to Ocracoke, North Carolina, and report to the Coast Guard Liason Officer, Naval Section Base, Ocracoke, North Carolina for assignment to temporary duty on patrol boats.

2. The travel necessary to the execution of this order is required by the public interests.

3. Mileage is allowed, chargeable to Norfolk District's travel allotment, Symbol No. 03-20.

From: Board of Examination To: District Coast Guard Officer, Fifth Naval District.

Subject: KUEHNLE, Frederick L. (500-376), C.M.2c(R) - Report of examination for change of rating.

Reference: (a) Article 457, Personnel Instructions.

1. In accordance with reference (a) above, a Board of Examination consisting of Lieut.(jg) William E. Chapline, Jr, USCG, Senior Member, Lieut.(jg) John L. Bender, USCGR, and Ensign William I. Mittendorff, USCGR, have this date examined subject named man for the rating of Boatswain mate, second class.

2. Subject named man is deemed to be fully qualified for the rating of Boatswain mate, second class, and it is the recommendation of the Board that the rating be so changed.
