Albemarle In the } province of Carrolina } By the Governor and Lords Deputies with the Rest of the Honour'll Councell of State to all persons Greeting In our Lord god EverLasting Whereas It Suffitiently Apeared unto us that Abraham Kimberley of this County deceased dyed without a will and Joshua Lambe and William Therill both of this County of Albemarle, Appeared before us At A Grand Councell held the 27th of this Instant Pretending themselves to bee the Greatest Creditors to the said Deceased And desireing order for Administration on all and Every the said Deceaseds Estate which was Accordingly Granted , Wee doe theirfore In observance of the Aforesd order, hereby, Impower the Aforesaid Joshua Lambe and the said William Therill them and Either of them to Administer on all and Every the Estate both Reall and Personall of the sd Abraham Kimberley Deceased, and out of the Same to Sat=tisfie and pay all his Just debts Soe far forth as the sd Estate Will Extend or Amount unto, and A true and Just Inventory of all and Every the sd Estate which shall Come to his or there hands possession or Knowledge Appraised According to Law by Mr Allexander Lillington and Mr William Wilkiston to Returne Into the Secrataries office within Six weeks After the date hereof, and their of, them and Either of them to bee Accountable at Any time when Legally thereto Required they haveing Given In Seccurity ley by Capt William Craford Esqr. and them selves for there soe doing Given under our hands and the Seale of the County this 29th day of March Anno Dom 1680 Jno Jenkins Anthony A Slocum Will Craford Robart Holden

Know all men by these presents that Wee Joshua Lambe William Therill and Capt William Craford Esqr all of the County of Albemarle in the province of Carolina doe owe and Stand Justly Indebted unto his Excellency the pallatine and the Rest of the true and Absolute Lords proprietors of the province Aforesaid there heirs & Successors the full and Just Sum and quantetie of thirty thousand pounds of Curant merchantable tobacco and Cask to containe the same payable upon forfeiture of the Condition hereunto Annixed,to the which payment well and truly to bee made and done, wee binde us and Every of us Joyntly and Severally our and Every of our heirs Exceccutors And Administrators for the whole And In the whole firmly by these presents In witnes hereof wee have hereunto Set our hands and Seales this 29th day of March 1680

The Condition of this obligation Is such, that whereas the Above bounden Joshua Lambe and William Therill haveing Received Letters of Administration upon the Estate of Abraham Kimberley Deceased, doe and Shall well and truly performe what therein they are Injoyned According to the tenour of the sd Commission, and Shall Save and Keep the Court harmles and undempnified from all and Every person and persons that may or Shall Lay Claime to or pretend Interest In ye said Estate of the sd Abraham Kimberley deceased, duely Executeing and truly perform= =ing the office of An Administrator to all Intents and purposes, as therein to them the said Joshua Lambe and william Therrill is granted that then this present obli= =gation to bee voide or else to Stand and bee in full force power Effect And vertue Sealled Signed and Delivered Joshua Lambe William Therill William Craford In Presence of us John Jenkins Rob Holden
