Albemarle County In the } By the Honourable Governor and Lords Deputies with the Rest of the Province of Carrolina} Honourable Counsell of State, To all persons Greeting In our Lord god Everlasting) Whereas it Suffitiently appeares unto us that Franciss Godfrey of this County deceased, haveing Left a will, and the Exceccutrix therin Named beeing dead, & William Therill of this Said County Appearing before us at A Grand Councell held the 25th day of March 1680 pretending A Clame as beeing Married to the Rellict of the sd Testatores Exceccutrix Aforesd desireing order for Administration on all and Every the sd deceased Estate which was Accordingly granted, wee doe therefore In observance of the Aforesd order of Court hereby Impower the sd William Therill to administer on all and Every the Estate both Reall and personall of the sd Franciss Godfrey deceased, and out of the Same to Sattisfie and pay all His Just dues soe far forth as the Said Estate will Extend or Amount unto, and A true and Just Inventory of all and Every the sd Estate, which did (may) or Shall, Come to his hands possession or Knowledge, Appraised According to law by John Hunt, Timothy Meades, Mr George Durant, and Mr Tho: Finkley, and the Said Appraise =ment to Returne Into the Secrataries office within three moneths after the day of the date hereof, and thereof to bee accomptable at any time when Legallally Required hee giving in Security with in one month by Mr George Durant and Capt varnham and him Selfe for his Soe doeing, Given under our hands and the Seale of the Collony this 29th day of marh[March] Anno Dom 1680 and In Case of non performance, that John hunt bee putt In Admi =nistrator as per order John Jenkins Anthony Slocum Rob Holden William Craford

Know all men by these presents that wee William Therill Capt varnham Esqr Mr George Du= =rant of the County of Albemarle In the province of Carrolina doe owe and stand Justly Indebted unto his Excellency the pallatine and the Rest of the true and Ab= Solute Lords proprietors of the province Aforesd In the full and Just Sum and Quantetie of three hundred pounds of Currant Lawfull Sterling Money of England to bee paid to them there heirs and Successors upon forfeiture of the Condition hereunto Annexed to the which payment well and truly to bee made and done wee binde us & And Every of us Joyntly and Severally our and Every of our heirs Exceccutors and Admi =nistrators for the whole and In the whole firmly by these presents In witnes where of wee have here unto set our hands and Seales this 29th day of March Anno Dom 1680

The Condition of this obligation is Such, that whereas the Above bounden William Therill haveing Received Letters of Administration upon the Estate of Mr Franciss Godfrey of this County deceased, doe and Shall well and truly performe wt therein hee is Injoined According to the tenour of the said Commission, and Shall Save and keep the Court harmless and undemp =nied from all and Every person and persons, that may or Shall Lay Claime too or pretend Interest in the sd Estate, of the sd Mr Franciss Godfrey deceased, duely Executeing and truly performing the office of Ann Administrator to all Intents and purposes, as therein to him the said William Therill is Granted, that then this present obligation to bee voide and of noe Effect, or else to Stand And bee In full force power Effect and vertue William Therill John varnham George Durant

Albemarle County in the Province of Carrolina } By the Governor and Lds Deputies with the Rest of the honourable Councell of State to all persons Greeting In our Lord, god Everlasting whereas it Suffitiently Appears unto us,That thomas Bellerby of this County deceased died without Will, and Capt John varnham Esqr of this County as Attorney of Mr Caleb Lambe of New england Merchants Appeared before before us at A Grand Councell held the 2-13 of this Instant as Greatest Creditor, desireing order for Administration on all and Every the sd deceaseds Eastate which was Accordinly Granted, wee doe there =fore In observance of the Afore said order, hereby Impower Impower, In his Excellency the Pallatines [crossed out]] names, the Said Capt John varnham Esqr Attorney as AforeSaid, to Ad =minister on all and Every the Estate Both Reall and personall, of the sd Thomas Bellerby deceased, and out of the Same to Sattisfie and all his Just debts Soe far forth as the sd Estate will Extend or Amount unto, and A true and Just Inventory of all & Every the sd estate which may or Shall Come to his hands possession or Knowledge Appraised According to Law by Mr Joseph Gilbert and Edward Smithick, and the said Appraisement, to Returne Into the Secrataries ^(office) within Six months After the day of the date here of, and thereof to bee Accomptable at any time when legally Re quired hee giving in Security by Wm Wilkinson and Edward Smithick and himselfe for his Soe doeing: given under our hands and the Seale of the County this 29th day of march 168^(1680)
