Two days after your letter
arrived letting us know you were a
father Mary and I left for her
home in Brunswick. My appendix
had bothered me for some time and
just then I decided to have it out.
Mary's father being a physician we
went there. Everything went finely but
I was laid up about four weeks
and with very little ambition to do
things. I thot of you and yours
often and have taken myself to
task a great many times for not
having written sooner.
I'm awfully glad you like
your work, it must be very interesting
and exactly in your line. I'm
with Richardson, Hill & Co. Brokers
and Investment Bankers, a very interesting
business but with it's ups and
downs,- I'm in the selling end of
the business and it I didn't think
it was a means to an end I
