My darling Wife,

I drove on a fairly
long trip today and a bit
tired. The roads can't be
compared with ours nor do
Army vehicles drive like
civilian cars. After driving
through the winter in these
open air crates I'm beginning
to wonder if I will smother
in a closed car and without
a heater. However, I can hardly
wait to check myself on so
many things. Today I drove
through the town in which
Bill Thornton is supposed to
be located but of course was
unable to look him up. It
does seem that our paths
are getting closer.
