and did I take the spills! One after
the other! But the snow was soft
and the instructor said that was
the only way to learn! "By the time
you've made your thousandth
fall you'll be good", he said.
So I kept at it all morning.

This afternoon I went horse
back riding! For a full hour
and a half we rode all along
the snow covered trails. Certainly
was a sight to see. Got back
at 2:30 and went right back to
my skiing - determined to make
good. By four O' clock I had
graduated to the higher slopes!
Certainly is fun! Going to keep at
it tomorrow too, until I get it down
pat!

The days have been beautiful
with the sun shine shining
brightly and yet cold enough to
feel the pinch of cold on your
cheeks! Got a sunburn believe
it or not. Just wish I had my
sweet family here to enjoy
it with me.

This is a small world! Guess
who I was skiing with all day
today before I found out who he
was? Mr. Johnson, whose wife
works with you in the children's
