Hello Darling,

How's my baby tonight, I'd give a million
to see you - I'm hoping it wont [crossed out word (bee)] be too
long though.

Your old man has had a very busy day today,
was up early to cook breakfast after that dinner
and then off to the show you can't guess
what show either - give-up - Jack Benny
in person, plus the other stars. It was a
grand show and I enjoyed it very much, wish
I could have made some pictures but it was
cloudy so I didnt bother about even trying. It
was a pretty long ride from here to [crossed out word (Mariabad)]
Marienbad, Nearly 50 miles I'm sure but it was
worth it. At least half of the division was there
plus troops from other out-fits. The others, those that
didn't see the afternoon show went for the night
show, except some that [crossed out word (was)] didn't want to go or were
working. Sixty five from our co. went for the afternoon
show.
