Hello Mother,

I got a letter from you today, and ---- up out of the paper. A lot of the fog got worse ---- to out of there home town pepper, and did we love a lot of fun reading them. You told me to tell you what was going on over here. Well what I love seem boring to a lot of people. One part

[startled?]. We all had to go back to the ship. They sat a house on to on fire. and they [wuz/was???] all. I read on the press new this morning. That so many men still are here and so many [hurt?], I guess some got [hurt?]. But as far as getting [???]. I don't think so, they don't hurt us or nothing. [Sum?]

Dear Mother I hope this find[s] you and the rest all right. [??] are still leaving home [??]night [???] [bright?] over here. I Can, I see it myself, and said [???] it is moving to it. I come back about now.

and have starded sitting up at the barn to I guess. All the water I have stood in [barel?] I would never go to sleep at the [??] now. But I let Donald still goes to sleep up there what dose he do now now. Well I had better stop now. I think I will see the show tonight so I will stop for this time. love Irving

Hi, mom How are you this time fine I hope. As for me, I am O.K. Well in my last letter I told you what was going on over here. But I don't guess you got much out of it. I have some [???] here I will send to you. You may get more out of it. Today is "Ernest" birthday. I bet he did not work today. It won't be long before I will be 18 will it. and look where I have been. I will stop now I have and more letter to write "goodnight" "[???]"
