(Belgian Camp - Le Mans, Sarthe).

Y.M.C.A., Belgian Camp,
Le Mans, France.
My Dear Girls:
Before leaving the Belgian Camp I wish to express to you appreciation for the very excellent work you did with your rolling canteen during the Inter-Allied Rifle and Pistol Competitions.
The serving of refreshments to the men in the pits was in itself a great help, and involved a great deal of work on your part. In addition to that, I feel that we were fortunate in having you here during the time that our allied friends were our guests, so that they could learn for themselves the spirit that actuates our best American women.
Your presence at the Belgian Camp at this time has been of benefit to us personally, and reflects credit on the country as a whole, and I sincerely hope that if occasion arises again for this kind of work that we will be fortunate enought to hae women of your class to help make it a success.
Very sincerely yours,
