Dearest Mother:

Your dear letter of
Thursday received yesterday
afternoon, I am answering it
this beautiful sunday morning
while I have time.

I certainly hope Will Flemming
will get in the navy, but guess
he we demoralize it, he
ought to be here in the
Eighty First Division.

There will be a bunch
of wokies in to-day from
NewYork and La.

I saw where Jung Smith
was sent to Camp Jackson.
I think I will go down
there some Sunday. Will guess
who came to see me yesterday
after-noon it was Howard
