I joined the club to provide means by which I could earn money at home and at the same time get the education and viewpoint necessary for the ideal farm-life.
The
Girls Canning Club was organized to bring the girls together socially and cause them to be more friendly with each other. By joining the club I have learned to can, and to utilize the surplus and otherwise waist products of the garden and orchard.
