February 1th 1912.
I joined the girls canning and poultry club in regard to do all I could in this work. I have enjoyed the work and meetings throught out [throughout] the season and have had much pleasure in talking with our field agent and with all the club members. On March the 23, I received my seed. On the 26 of March I sowed my seed in a small box I put water enough to keep them moist untill [until] April the 15 they were up nice I planted them in a [illegible] frame April the 30. papa plowed my garden April the 9. On May the 14 I transplanted them in the open ground and May the 29 I planted my plants in my garden. On June the 8 I hoed my garden. On June the 11 I had the first bud and till June the 16 I had a nice little bloom my plants were slender when I put them in my garden but the [they] growed
