Why I Am A Club Member.

My purpose of joining the Canning club, was to be a closer observer in canning afterwards. And it is very good way for a young girl to earn her own money.

My aim now is to pay my music expenses as I grow up so that I may be a successful player.

The Discription [description] of my Garden Size Location kind of soil preparation.

It is a good rich and sandy loam soil. It is thirty three feet wide, one hundred and thrity [thirty] two feet long. My preparation of the soil contains the following,

The rotted barn yard manure that was broad-casted on the plat cost me two dollars and a half. Then the land was plowed very deep so as to furnish sufficient moisture for the plant.

Fertilizer, the fertilizer that I used was the "Farmers Friend" which I used about one hundred and forty pounds of it and drilled it in all the rows.

Why I selected this plat for my garden was because my father said that the soil was suitable and he had never had never had any thing to die on it so that made me more interested

How I raised my plants. I sowed my seeds first in a cold frame about the eighteenth of April. I kept them watered well and when they came up I would keep the grass out with my hands.
