I was glad to see your interesting letter in regard to early anti-vivisection movements. Certainly I shall be glad to have you prepare such a part [crossed out] pamphlet as you speak of.

I will write for one copy of the bill (Shafroth's) but I would like to have two or three copies of the Shafroth Bill. I do not wish to send your amendment to anyone until I am sure that it is in definite shape. I suppose you will write to Mr. Whitehead and others in regard to it. I should think the bill had better give power to or force the law where there is no humane society or no adequate society.

I wish the matter of Cattle Transportation, bull fights etc., might be made national. While you are in Washington can you not do something in regard to the Bull Fight bill which Mr. Brown prepared. If you should write to him no doubt he would tell you if it is in anybody's hands at the present.
