Dear Dr. Gardner,

I am so happy that you can
make use of Mary Rand's letter, and my Grand-
daughter who is keeping house here has promised to copy
the Comet letter which you will think good material
for your book. I wonder what a present day astronomer
would say about Walter Folgers opinions. I never studied
Astronomy and have often regretted it. Had you thought
of having any pictures of the early generations in your
book. I have a film of Aunt Josephine Hazxelton Allen,
the standing pose shown in "Hazelton Home" and a
pretty good film of Father in his later years that
I could loan you. I'm enclosing a photo one of Father
taken soon after he enlisted in the Civil War as a
cavalry man. And the only picture I have of my
Grandmother Eliza Folger H. She was then an old lady
