The great increase of the burning Coal has a material effect on the burning of Wood
I think the price will be lower the year ensuing.

Our Orthodox Friends being anxious (for what cause I know not) to build a new Mg. [MEETING] house have bought the Edwd. [EDWARD] Carey house for the enormous price of 5000 $, including the land for that purpose, & have agreed with James Weeks to build a New one 50 feet by 70 feet for 5000 $ he is to have the house that is now on the premises into the bargain, which he has sold to Matthew Crosby, & is to remove it down on the south side of the Commercial Wharf, for 700 $. Which leaves the Old South Mg. [MEETING] house for sale, which they ask 4000 $.
The North Friends Mg. [MEETING] house they attempted to sell to the Town for a School house, at a town Mg. held 12th 1m/o 1833. In the advertisement they ommitted [OMITTED] to mention the land. It was therefore voted that the School Committee take the subject of schools & all its branches appertaining to them, under consideration, & report at the next Annual meeting.
