11th 11m/o
Wind SSE
The rain set in about 10 AM, and the rain continued to fall during the day, & some times in torrents, & a part of the the wind blew tremendously, so that on the whole it may be said it was the hardest rain storm we have had since spring came in.
The season back has been reasonably dry, preceding today there has not been rain enough to wet the ground four inches deep since since the 7th of 8th month. Many of the Wells in town has become dry, or useless for want of water.
7th 11m/o
Ours was dry about 7th of this month.
7th 2m/o 1836
The Springs has rose so that we begin to get water from our Pump.

22d 11
Strong wind at North, & Cold, looked likely for a Storm. All the week past, & indeed the most of Autumn has been uncommonly moderate & warm for the season, but very little rain, the Swamps, & the little runs of water are all dry, the lower springs seem almsot exhausted.
23d 11
There is a great change in the weather this morning; it is quite a winter Snow storm, the Wind from NE to SE & the fall of Snow is about three inches. It is very uncommon to have so great a fall of Snow at this season.
29 11
A strong gale at NW
30 11
A fall of snow some inches deep - which is the 4th fall of snow this Autumn, two of which was very light.

Has Obed left out a word here (second line)? It looks as if it should be "part of the night" - unless I have misread it.
