2 times Coffin & Gardner's Cooper Shop.
This no doubt was the work of an Incendiary
1 was a false alarm, it appear to the Watch it believes it was a building; The moon was fast setting
1 Joseph B Lawrence's Store, the Stove upset, & the fire burnt the floor
1 A Chimney in the night
1 Colored dancing Hall in New Guinea, supposed to have been set on fire purposely
1 Lawrence and Cobb's store of Goods.
The fire was quelled with considerable damage
1 A Bonfire by boys North of Rope Walks
1 False Alarm, Prisoners in Jail cried fire

The weather is moderate for winter, but cold SE wind, & blows strong, and looks likely to be a storm

By the astromonucal [ASTRONOMICAL] calculations, the Spring time is once more round, Query, is there any improvement among the people generally. I doubt whether we can claim much credit for the better. There has been sufficient warning, if it was attend to. The number of deaths among us during last month has been rather larger than common. I think it was 17 or 18 adults beside a number of Children.
I think it may be said in truth that the Winter past has been the most moderate of any one since 1774.
