both new. Midle [MIDDLE] part and latter
stearing the same. Light wind from
the north. Saw two sails Lat [LATE?] bent
foretopsail. So ends Lat [LATITUDE] 27 10 169 42 E [EAST]

First part light winds from the
North. Ship stearing S.S. West all
sail set. Midle [MIDDLE] part and latter
stearing S. West. Lat [LATITUDE] 28, 10 168, 54
Mond [MONDAY]
Decem [DECEMBER] 1st
First part light winds from N. East
Ship stearing S. West. All sail set.
Midle [MIDDLE] part stearing the same. Latter
part emploid [EMPLOYED] changing topgalon [TOPGALLANT] yards
Spoke bark Awashanks[AWASHONKS] of Falmouth.

First part brisk breezes. Ship stearing
S. East. All sail set. At 1 P.M saw
Norfolk Island. At 4 P.M lored [LOWERED]
a boat. Capt. [CAPTAIN] Winslow and Capt. [CAPTAIN] Toby
went ashore . There are 5 ships laying
off and on hear [HERE]. Midle [MIDDLE] part and
latter laying off and on at the same
island. So ends in Lat
Tuesd [TUESDAY -SHOULD BE WEDNESDAY]
Dec [DECEMBER] 3rd
First part at noon Captain Winslow
and his family returned to the ship.
Steard [STEERED] for Phillops [PHILIP] Island went
in with two boats afishing. At
sunset returned to ship and steared
South. Midle [MIDDLE] part and latter
stearing south all sail
set. So ends in Lat [LATITUDE] 30 45 167 21
