First part wind bloing [BLOWING] strong fron
the S. East. Ship stearing N.N. East
by the wind under short sail. Emploid [EMPLOYED]
making spanker boom. At 6 P.M spoke
the bark Franklin. Saw another sail.
Midle [MIDDLE] part and latter stearing the
same. Weather more moderate. Lat [LATITUDE] 29 56 179 40 W [WEST]

Saturd [SATURDAY]
April 25th
First part brisk breezes from S. East.
Spoke bark Franklin and ship
Louisiana. All stearing to N. East.
Midle [MIDDLE] part wore ship to S.S. West.
Latter stearing the same. Bloing [BLOWING] strong.
Ship under double reafs [REEFS]. Lat [LATITUDE] 30 05 179 34

Sund [SUNDAY]
April 26th
First part strong breezes from the same.
Ship stearing S.S. West by the wind
under short sail. Midle [MIDDLE] part the same.
Latter at 3 AM tacked to N. East. At 9 AM
spoke bark Elisabeth Swift of New Bedford.
Then wore ship to S.S. West 30 56 179 15 E [EAST]

Mond [MONDAY]
April 27th
First part ship stearing to the south
with brisk breezes. Midle [MIDDLE] part the
same. Latter part light winds stearing
the same. Saw two barks. 31 30 178 59

Tuesd [TUESDAY]
April 28th
First part light airs from S. East. Ship
stearing S.S. West. Cooper to work on cask.
Midle [MIDDLE] part under reaf [REEFED] topsails. Took the
wind to S. West. Ship stearing East.
Latter part wore ship to west. 31 45 178 40 E [EAST]

Wedns [WEDNESDAY]
April 29th
First part wind from S. East. Weather
fine. At 4 P.M saw a vark to
leward [LEEWARD] supposed to be manouverin [MANUEVERING]
for whales. Midle [MIDDLE] part stearing to S. West
by the wind under short sail.
Latter part wind bloing [BLOWING] heavy
with squals [SQUALLS] of rain. Lat [LATITUDE] 31 17 178 43
