First part pleasant trade breeze
Capt. [CAPTAIN] Winslow and family went
onboard of Lisabeth Swift [ELIZABETH SWIFT] to
spend the day. At 4 P.M sent
up fore top galon [TOPGALLANT] yard. At 6 P.M
Captain and family come onboard.
Ship stearing to the north. Midle [MIDDLE] part the same. Latter part brisk breezes.
At 7 A.M caught two porpoises. 5 02 169 28

Wedns [WEDNESDAY]
July 28th
First part brisk trades. Ship stearing to
the north all sail set. At 7 P.M set
boats crew watches. Midle [MIDDLE] part
tacked ship to S. East. Latter part
tacked again to N.N. East. All
sail. Emploid [EMPLOYED] making spunyarn. 3 03 169 44

Thursd [THURSDAY]
July 29th
First part brisk trade breezes. Ship
stearing to the north. All sail. Emp [EMPLOYED]
making spunyarn. Midle [MIDDLE] part stearing
off north. Emploid [EMPLOYED] regulating the
fore hole. At 11 AM spoke ship
Elisabeth [ELIZABETH] Swift New Bedford 600 sperm.
So ends this day 2 59 169 25

July 30th
First part brisk. Wore ship to south.
All sail. At 6 P.M took in light sails.
Midle [MIDDLE] part wore ship to N. East.
Latter part the same. Emploid [EMPLOYED]
making spunyarn. Lat [LATITUDE] 1 40 169 27

Satur [SATURDAY]
July 31st
First part brisk breezes. Ship stear [STEERING]
to the north. At 2 P.M spoke ship
Elisabeth [ELIZABETH]. Capt [CAPTAIN] Winslow went
onboard. Midle [MIDDLE] part laying with
head yards aback. Latter part
stearing off northwest. Saw the
ship Elisabeth [ELIZABETH]. At non [NOON] comenced [COMMENCED]
weting [WETTING] hole the first time. 1 40 169 42
