Good morning,
If there is no birth record on the page, we still ask that our volunteers transcribe the page in full in the text area field above the spreadsheet. There are manumission records and court minutes that tell of more day-to-day activities of the city's inhabitants throughout these books that don't apply to the spreadsheet, as they aren't records of birth, but are records documenting life and the eventual freedom of enslaved people.
If you're interested in working with just the birth records, I will suggest trying out these books: Slave Holders [Birth Certificates of Children], 1799-1826, or Records of Strays; Assessment Roll, 1799-1822.
