Questionnaire from Magee will come along later, since I'd like to keep it as a guidepost, if I may.

Dear Miss Ward,

Many thanks for your letter of the 31st July - together with Questionaire -

I have completed same and am enclosing herewith - hoping same will be of some help to you.

With reference to ycur question re a possible interview and as to where I will be fcr the month of Augst - due to shortage of staff in our dept. during August - the only possible place I cculd suggest would be in Montreal at any time. If I had known sooner something like this was coming up - I could have arranged to meet you in New York as we were in that Vicinity on holidays first part of July.

Yours truly,

Mr. Morris Henry Magee Hudson Quebec Canada

Dear Mr. Magee:

Some time ago we received your questionnaire also some interview notes in connection with a book on D-Day which is being prepared by Mr. Ryan for publication in the Readers Digest in book form.

Due to the overwhelming response to this request, we have been deluged with material and have not had a chance to write to each and everyone as yet. However, we do want to thank you for being patient with us and to tell you how deeply grateful we are for your cooperation in filling out your questionnaire but also for your interview.

In order for us to adit your materia! for use in the book, it will be necessary for us to have your signature on the attached release, which we would thank you to return in the enclosed self -addressed envelope.

Again many thanks for your help.

Sincerely,

for Cornelius Byan
