Do you remember what it was like--that is, do you remember whether you
felt any pain or were you so surprised that you felt nothing?

I was wounded for the first time on D-Day , It was a small fragment in the right leg and
there was not much pain. I was wounded for the second time on the 27th of Sept of
1944 at Brest Prance, It was painfull for a while but it soon passed away.

Do you remember seeing or hearing anything that seems funny now, even
though it did not, of course, seem amusing at the time?

you more than anything else?
