Dear Miss Ward:

The undersigned is in receipt of a communication from Head-
quarter XXI US Army Corps (Reserve) requesting that individuals
participating in D-Day, 6 June 1944, contact you with reference to
information required in the preparation of a history of D-Day, 6
June I944, for publication in Reader's Digest.

This is to advise that the undersigned was an enlisted man
assigned to Company I, 116th Infantry Regiment, 29th Infantry Di-
vision from 31 January 1941 until December 1944 and participated
in the Normandy invasion with that unit.

Any information will be gladly furnished in the preparation
of this worthy publication if called upon to do so.
