Mr. Arthur B. Schultz
4823 Howell Street
Philadelphia 24, Penna.

Dear Mr. Schultz:

We have your interview and questionnaire in
connection with a book on D-Day which Mr. Ryan is preparing
for the Reader's Digest, the first part of which will appear
in the June issue.

As we have been deluged with material, we have
not had a chance to write to each and everyone as yet. However,
we do want to thank you for your patience with us and to tell
you how deeply grateful we are to you for your cooperation and
help.

Enclosed you will find the following material
which you were kind enough to let us have for research:

1. Letter from Headquarters, 82d Airborne Division dated
England, 18th Aug. 1944.

2. Newspaper clipping entitled "First Battalion" by Ed. Pareti.

3. Newspaper - pages 1 to 4 incl., The "All American" Paraglide
VE Day May 1945.

4. One book entitled "Parachute School, U.S.A.
Again, many thanks for all your help and interest.

Sincerely

for Cornelius Ryan
